Massage therapy benefits our holistic health. The many benefits of massage therapy help to improve our mental and physical well-being, and boost our immune system. By increasing blood flow, easing inflammation and reducing muscle tightness, massage can reduce pain and relieve tension. A regular massage is the best care we can give our body.
The better we take care of our body, the better we will feel. It’s important to keep your body healthy but, of course, there are factors we can’t control. We can’t control the work deadline, the traffic jam in the morning or everything that adds stress to our lives. But we can choose how we react to it, and how we let it affect us. Massage is the best way to help us deal with stress and help our body to stay cool and calm. When we feel good, it shows.
Massage Over Stress:
- Lowers your heart rate
- Elevates blood pressure
- Reduces headaches
- Helps digestive problems
- Improves sleep
- Boosts Immune System
There is no doubt that massage is so good for our body. We put so much wear and tear on our body, and we deal with outside factors that cause stress. Massage helps to ease everything out and makes you feel awesome. You will get through the day feeling better, and it will show.
What is Self-Care?
Driving to work, sitting at a desk, running errands and keeping up with the speed of life. We stay on the “go” until our tasks are complete and hope that our body can keep up. And if you have kids, that is a whole other strength and energy that we need every day! Whatever the test of strength, it’s important that we practice self-care to maintain our health. Oxford dictionary defines self-care as, “The practice of taking an active role in practicing one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.” Naturally, you could describe this as having the strength, energy and charisma to get through the day feeling your best. I absolutely believe that the best way to keep up with a healthy body is through fitness. Build strength and endurance through lifting, resistance training and cardiovascular fitness. And help your muscles grow and recover effectively with regular massage and providing your body with the right nutrients. The best way we can take care of our body is all natural. Our body is made up of many different parts that work together. Take the best care of your body by keeping it moving and giving it healthy ingredients! Getting into the habit of loving your well-being is so much fun! It can be a switch, for sure, but a habit that you will easily and happily get into.
Massage and fitness go together so perfect! Fitness builds and tones our body while massage does the maintenance and ensures the best benefit! In a nutshell, this is how massage and fitness work together:
1. Recovery is enhanced
Massage loosens up the muscles and helps them to recover. Pliability is restored.
2. Sore muscles aren’t as uncomfortable
Massaging and stretching the muscles can help work out the knots, and get the blood flowing again. Inflammation is reduced and the cells recover faster.
3. Muscles work better and move better
Regular exercise puts a strain on your muscles, ligaments and tendons, all worked on during a massage. A good sports massage focuses on the fascia, connective fibers under the skin that help muscles move smoothly and efficiently when they’re in good shape.
4. Helps with flexibility
Muscles get stiff with age. Massage helps loosen muscles and restore flexibility by stretching and lengthening.
5. Massage helps you feel better, both, physically and mentally
Happy endorphins are released from working out and it’s a cortisol reducer as well, relieving stress.
Exercise with proper muscle maintenance provides the best fitness regime!

Therapeutic Massage Therapy may be the best care we can take for our body. Massage smooths out the muscle fibers that are holding so much toxins and tension. The tension and pain is being held in the muscle fascia, causing muscle restrictions and soreness. We let ourselves get comfortable with being uncomfortable. An effective massage will smooth out muscle fibers and help the muscles relax. Really, massage is like an oil change and tune-up for our body. We can stretch so much and strengthen our body with exercise. But even that, along with our everyday tasks, adds so much stress to our body. And when the muscles are feeling good and the circulation is rocking, the body functions a lot better, too. That is just perfect. When our body is running smoothly and we benefit our holistic health, we feel better and perform better. Massage is definitely relaxing and makes you feel awesome. And the benefits of regular massage are even better. Keeping up with self-care is so important, for us and our family. Love yourself 🙂
