What is Self-Care?
Driving to work, sitting at a desk, running errands and keeping up with the speed of life. We stay on the “go” until our tasks are complete and hope that our body can keep up. And if you have kids, that is a whole other strength and energy that we need every day! Whatever the test of strength, it’s important that we practice self-care to maintain our health. Oxford dictionary defines self-care as, “The practice of taking an active role in practicing one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.” Naturally, you could describe this as having the strength, energy and charisma to get through the day feeling your best. I absolutely believe that the best way to keep up with a healthy body is through fitness. Build strength and endurance through lifting, resistance training and cardiovascular fitness. And help your muscles grow and recover effectively with regular massage and providing your body with the right nutrients. The best way we can take care of our body is all natural. Our body is made up of many different parts that work together. Take the best care of your body by keeping it moving and giving it healthy ingredients! Getting into the habit of loving your well-being is so much fun! It can be a switch, for sure, but a habit that you will easily and happily get into.
